I would worry about getting too much carbohydrate with this much fruit, but perhaps not. Interesting read!
As my followers know, I haven’t posted often to this blog, but this article, to me, is the holy grail. I know myself and how/what I eat, and I am convinced this explains my struggle. Perhaps yours too.
What we already knew, but were afraid to admit… And it’s so true– I lost 85 lbs following The Weight Agency Method, then fell off the wagon with wine and pizza one night, which soon became ice cream, chocolate, and regular desserts…. and I regained 50 lbs!
Many of us who have struggled with cravings for sweets and other carbs, may have to admit that we are carbaholics, and just like alcoholics or smokers, we must give them up or suffer a relapse. Alcoholics cannot have an occasional drink and they know that. Smokers who have broken nicotine addiction know that. Former drug addicts know that. Obese people may need to face that too.
I wonder if it is a survival mechanism– animal tastes fruit, gets stimulated by fructose to eat more, fattens up while it can, survives winter. Those that do NOT overeat while the fruit is ripe, perish in the subsequent winter. Makes good sense to me…. Beware of High Fructose Corn Syrup!
